As many as 21,951 Pakistanis were deported from Gulf countries between March 1 and July 13, 2026, for a range of reasons including overstaying, begging, illegal entry, drugs, refused asylum, forged documents and security concerns.

According to a written response from the Ministry for Narcotics Control in the National Assembly, the figures were shared in reply to questions raised by MNA Hameed Hussain during the question hour on Thursday.

The reply said 4,628 absconders were deported, while 1,294 people were deported after being jailed. In addition, 968 Pakistanis were blacklisted, 1,155 deportation cases were linked to lost passports, 689 were sent back for visa violations, and 342 were refused entry into Gulf states.

Saudi Arabia deported the highest number of Pakistanis, with almost 15,500 cases. The United Arab Emirates deported 3,803 Pakistanis, followed by Oman with 1,606, Bahrain with 521, Qatar with 429 and Kuwait with 97.

Another 6,662 Pakistanis were deported under the category of “Others,” though the ministry did not specify the exact offences included in that group.

The response also said 472 Pakistani beggars were deported from Gulf countries.

Nine Pakistanis were deported from the UAE through Interpol, while several others were sent back after being refused onward travel or for offences including impersonation, expired iqamas and passports, theft and immigration violations.

Saudi Arabia deported the largest number of absconders, with 3,921 cases, followed by the UAE with 636. Saudi Arabia also deported 1,924 Pakistanis for overstay or illegal entry, while the UAE and Oman deported 347 and 295 people, respectively, for the same offences.
