The administration of Nishtar Hospital Multan has acknowledged the disappearance of more than 1,500 electric fans from its storage facility and has requested police action over the alleged theft, according to reports. According to an application submitted to the Cantonment Police Station by the hospital’s security in-charge, Muzammil, more than 2,100 electric fans were stored in the hospital’s basement.

However, a subsequent inspection revealed that over 1,500 fans were missing from the facility.

The hospital administration, which had earlier denied reports of missing equipment, has now formally confirmed the loss and requested registration of a criminal case to investigate the matter.

In the complaint, officials alleged that the large-scale disappearance may have involved individuals familiar with the hospital system or internal access to storage areas.

Authorities have urged law enforcement to identify those responsible and recover the missing equipment, stressing the need for accountability within the hospital’s supply and security chain.
