DJI has officially introduced the Osmo Pocket 4P, its first pocket gimbal camera with two main cameras.

The launch comes just weeks after DJI introduced the standard Osmo Pocket 4 with a 1-inch sensor, 4K 240fps slow motion, and improved tracking. The new Osmo Pocket 4P builds on that model while adding a major zoom upgrade.

The main highlight of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P is its dual-camera system. The primary camera uses a 1-inch wide-angle sensor with a 20mm equivalent focal length and an f/2.0 aperture.

DJI says the camera can capture 17 stops of dynamic range using LOFIC technology. The second camera is a new 60mm mid-telephoto lens with an f/1.8 aperture.

It offers 3x optical zoom and up to 12x total zoom, making it better suited for portraits and tighter framing than older Pocket models.

Both cameras support DJI’s new D-Log 2 color profile with 10-bit color depth. The Osmo Pocket 4P can record 4K video at up to 240fps for smooth slow-motion footage. It also supports slow-shutter recording for light trails and motion blur effects.

Like the standard Osmo Pocket 4, the Osmo Pocket 4P uses a 3-axis mechanical gimbal to keep footage stable while walking or tracking moving subjects. DJI has also upgraded its tracking system with Intelligent Follow 8.0.

The new tracking software adds multi-person tracking and subject-following zoom up to 12x.

For vloggers, the Osmo Pocket 4P includes real-time beauty adjustments. These include skin-smoothing and tone-warmth controls.

The camera also comes with six built-in film color presets. Users can pair the camera with the DJI Mimo app to unlock more color grading presets and formulas.

The DJI Osmo Pocket 4P comes with 103GB of built-in storage, allowing users to record without a memory card. It supports USB 3.1 transfers at speeds of up to 800MB/s.

DJI says the battery can last up to 210 minutes (3.5 hours) and supports fast charging. The camera can also be used as a webcam and supports Wi-Fi live streaming and web conferencing.

The DJI Osmo Pocket 4P starts at around $561 for the standard package. The standard package includes the camera, a fill light, a 1/4-inch grip, a storage bag, and a USB-C cable.

The Vlog Kit costs around $634. It adds a DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitter, a viewfinder remote, and a mini tripod.

Pre-orders are now open in China, while global availability is expected to follow.
