The Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA) has announced temporary changes to metro bus operations in Lahore and Rawalpindi for Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
According to the authority, the Lahore Metrobus Service will remain closed for the entire day due to security arrangements for the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the Urs of Hazrat Ali Hajveri (Data Ganj Bakhsh).
The PMA also announced that the Rawalpindi section of the Pakistan Metrobus System, operating between Saddar and Faizabad, will remain suspended throughout the day on account of the Chehlum observance.
However, the Islamabad section of the Pakistan Metrobus System, operating between IJP Road and Pak Secretariat, will continue to run according to its normal schedule.
The authority advised passengers to plan their journeys in advance to avoid inconvenience and thanked commuters for their cooperation with the temporary service changes.
