Lenovo has launched the Lecoo Pro 14 in China, a new 14-inch thin-and-light laptop with Intel and AMD processor options.

The laptop focuses on connectivity, storage upgradeability, and external GPU support. It carries a suggested retail price of around $856.

The Lenovo Lecoo Pro 14 is available with either an Intel Core Ultra 5 135H processor or an AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 processor.

Both variants come with 24GB LPDDR5 memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD. The AMD model uses 6400MT/s memory, while the Intel version uses 5600MT/s memory.

Lenovo has also included dual M.2 2280 SSD slots, allowing users to add or upgrade storage later.

Both versions use the same display.

The laptop features a 14-inch 2.8K display with a 2880 x 1800 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel reaches 400 nits of brightness, covers 100 percent sRGB, and uses a matte anti-glare coating with DC dimming.

The Lecoo Pro 14 has aluminum alloy on the top and bottom covers. It weighs 1.48kg and has a hinge that opens flat to 180 degrees.

The main highlight is the dedicated OCuLink interface.

Lenovo has added the port directly to the motherboard, giving users a PCIe connection for external desktop graphics cards. This offers more bandwidth and lower latency than standard Thunderbolt or USB4 eGPU setups.

The laptop also includes two USB-C ports, including one 40Gbps USB4 port, three USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jack, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Lenovo has equipped the Lecoo Pro 14 with a dual-fan rear exhaust cooling system.

The laptop can sustain up to 65W TDP in its highest performance mode. The Intel version uses three heat pipes, while the AMD version uses two heat pipes.

It packs an 80Wh battery and charges through an included 100W GaN USB-C adapter.

The Lecoo Pro 14 ships with Windows 11 Home.

It also includes a 1080p webcam with a physical privacy shutter, Wi-Fi 6, and a fingerprint reader built into the power button.

For now, Lenovo has launched the laptop in China. The company has not confirmed wider international availability.
