The Lahore Traffic Police has announced a comprehensive traffic management plan for the 983rd annual Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri (RA), with special arrangements in place for the three day religious event.

According to the traffic advisory, SSP City Zone Maqsood Loon will supervise the traffic operation. The plan includes the deployment of five DSPs, 111 traffic inspectors, and 900 traffic wardens. Authorities have also deployed 15 forklifts and four breakdown vehicles to remove wrongly parked vehicles and keep traffic flowing.

The Traffic Police has designated five parking stands for visitors attending the Urs. Milk supply vehicles, handcarts, and rickshaws will be allowed to reach the Sabeels via Azadi Flyover and Peer Makki.

For security reasons, Kachehri Chowk, Bhati Chowk, and the road from Peer Makki to Data Darbar will remain closed to all types of traffic.

The Lahore Traffic Police said motorists can receive live traffic updates through Rasta FM and the Rasta App. Citizens can also contact the Punjab Police Helpline 15 for traffic assistance and guidance during the Urs celebrations.
