Pakistan has further expanded its regional security partnerships after signing a new defense cooperation pact with Kuwait.
The agreement was signed in Rawalpindi on Thursday during Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif’s meeting with a senior Kuwaiti delegation led by Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Saleem Al-Sabah.
The new protocol expands the military cooperation framework established through the Pakistan-Kuwait Defense Cooperation Agreement-2023.
Under the pact, Pakistan’s Armed Forces will support Kuwait in several areas, including training, capacity building and border management. Cooperation will also extend to other defense fields mutually agreed upon by both sides.
The agreement marks a further step in the longstanding defense relationship between Pakistan and Kuwait.
