Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has advised Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to fix the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and his ministry after his controversial remarks about system failure.
Asif’s comments come following Naqvi’s earlier remarks that the current government system has failed.
In a post on social media platform X, Asif told Naqvi that reforms should also be introduced where he himself holds authority, using the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as an example.
“Mr Naqvi, systems are always evolving and they should continue to evolve,” Asif wrote. He added that Naqvi could bring a “revolution” in the PCB as cricket fans are not fully satisfied with the board’s performance.
“PCB is an example where you have complete authority today. There is neither the Prime Minister nor Parliament, nor any outdated political system creating obstacles,” Asif added.
