K-Electric has issued safety guidelines ahead of Eid al-Adha, urging citizens to follow precautionary measures to avoid electrical accidents during sacrificial activities.
In its advisory, the power utility asked residents not to tie sacrificial animals to electricity poles or keep them near transformers and other electrical installations.
The company also warned citizens against using water near electrical infrastructure during Eid, saying it could create serious safety risks.
K-Electric further advised the public not to install decorative items on electricity poles or overhead wires and to maintain a safe distance from electrical infrastructure while performing sacrifices.
The utility company also cautioned against illegal electricity connections, stating that such practices could lead to severe hazards and put lives at risk.
According to a spokesperson, safety standards should be strictly observed at cattle markets, especially in areas near electrical installations.
Citizens have been urged to report any dangerous or suspicious electrical situations immediately through the helpline 118.
K-Electric added that special emergency response teams have been placed on high alert to handle any incidents during the Eid al-Adha holidays.
