The JJ Group won the Islamabad Regional Cricket Association elections in all four zones of the federal capital, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced.
According to a results notification issued by PCB Election Commissioner Mansoor Qadir, the JJ Group won the Central, East, North and West zone elections.
The group won the East Zone unopposed. It secured a 13-1 victory in the North Zone, won the West Zone 8-2 and claimed the Central Zone 7-4.
The elections were held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
“The JJ Group completed a clean sweep, ending the previous administration’s 26-year hold on the Islamabad Cricket Association,” a JJ Group spokesperson said.
Junaid Akhtar Satti, head of the JJ Group, is now expected to be elected president of the IRCA.
Shakil Shaikh previously served as IRCA president, while his group remained in power for many years.
