NexGen Auto has announced the introduction of a Battery Protection Sheet for all new Jaecoo J7 vehicles following concerns raised after a recent incident involving a Jaecoo J7 PHEV in Taobat, Neelum Valley.
The company stated that all Jaecoo J7 units dispatched from the factory on or after May 15, 2026, will come equipped with the Battery Protection Sheet as part of an ongoing product enhancement initiative. NexGen also confirmed that customers who have already purchased the vehicle will receive the upgrade free of cost.
According to the notice, the company will begin scheduling appointments for existing customers from July 1, 2026, for installation of the Battery Protection Sheet at authorized Omoda and Jaecoo dealerships.
The company said customers will be able to book appointments by scanning a QR code that will be made available on Omoda Jaecoo social media pages from June 10, 2026.
Under the process, customers will be required to upload their vehicle registration information, verify their mobile number through OTP confirmation, and select their preferred dealership along with a date and time slot for installation. NexGen said appointment confirmations would be sent to customers on their mobile phones before installation visits.
