Hisense has introduced the N24 2027 Edition monitor in China for 499 yuan, or about $74. The company has positioned the monitor for everyday productivity and PC gaming on a budget.
It is unclear if the gaming monitor will launch in the international market.
The Hisense N24 features a 23.8-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 180Hz refresh rate.
It also offers 178-degree viewing angles, a typical brightness of 300 nits and a contrast ratio of 1500:1.
According to Hisense, the monitor covers 99 percent of the sRGB colour space and 90 percent of the DCI-P3 colour space. It supports 16.7 million colours, making it suitable for media consumption and basic content creation.
The monitor supports AMD FreeSync, which synchronises its refresh rate with the graphics card to reduce screen tearing and stuttering.
Its on-screen menu also includes adjustable response-time settings and a dark-scene enhancement feature that improves visibility in darker areas of games.
Hisense has equipped the N24 with DC dimming and hardware-level low blue light technology to reduce eye strain during extended use.
The hardware-based system reduces blue light without adding the yellow tint commonly produced by software filters. The monitor has also received TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free certifications.
Connectivity options include one HDMI port and one VGA port, allowing the monitor to work with both newer and older computers.
The N24 comes with a tool-free quick-release stand that supports tilt adjustments from minus 5 degrees to 20 degrees. It is also compatible with 100 x 100mm VESA mounts.
