Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the launch of a nationwide talent hunt program aimed at identifying and developing young students in science.

According to sources, the program will organize a range of science-based competitions among students across the country. Successful participants will receive fully funded training and will also be given the opportunity to represent Pakistan in international science Olympiads.

The program also offers major academic incentives, allowing selected students to study free of cost, without an entrance test, at the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) and the Institute of Space Technology (IST).

In addition, students may receive up to 100% fee waivers, monthly scholarships, and cash prizes exceeding Rs. 500,000. Interested students can submit their applications for the talent hunt program until May 30, 2026.
