Great Wall Motors (GWM) is expected to launch the Cannon Alpha plug-in hybrid pickup truck in Pakistan in June 2026, according to Arif Habib Limited’s (AHL) Upcoming Automobile Launch Tracker.

The Cannon Alpha is among several electrified vehicles expected to enter the Pakistani market this year as automakers continue expanding their hybrid and electric vehicle lineups.

International specifications show that the Cannon Alpha PHEV combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor and battery system. The hybrid powertrain produces up to 300 kW of combined power and 750 Nm of torque, while power is delivered through a 9-speed hybrid automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system.

One of the pickup’s major highlights is its electric-only driving capability. Global specifications indicate that the vehicle offers up to 115 kilometers of pure electric driving range and a total combined range of more than 1,000 kilometers. The pickup also supports DC fast charging.

The Cannon Alpha is designed as a premium lifestyle pickup and features a large infotainment display, digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone connectivity, panoramic sunroof and powered front seats in higher international variants.

GWM has also equipped the vehicle with a range of advanced driver-assistance features, including adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, driver monitoring systems and a 360-degree camera setup. International versions of the pickup have received a five-star ANCAP safety rating.

While GWM has not officially announced local pricing or detailed Pakistan specifications, the Cannon Alpha is currently expected to be among the major vehicle launches scheduled for June 2026 in Pakistan.
