The federal government has appointed Ahmed Raza Sarwar, a Grade-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, as the new Federal Secretary for the Ministry of Interior.
According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division, Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Khurram Agha has been removed from the post and directed to report to the Establishment Division.
Ahmed Raza Sarwar was previously serving with the Punjab government before his appointment as Interior Secretary.
The Establishment Division issued the formal notification announcing the appointment and transfer on Wednesday.
The reshuffle places Ahmed Raza Sarwar at the helm of the Interior Ministry, which oversees internal security, immigration, civil administration, and law and order matters at the federal level.
