Google has officially confirmed the return of The Android Show for a second year ahead of Google I/O 2026.
The company announced that this year’s Android Show I/O Edition will take place on May 12, ahead of Google I/O 2026, which begins on May 19.
Google shared the announcement through a video posted on social media. The Android Show will be a pre-recorded event streamed on YouTube.

According to the company, 2026 is expected to be one of the biggest years for Android so far, although Google did not provide additional details about upcoming announcements.
The event is expected to focus on upcoming features for Android 17, along with other consumer-oriented updates. Google may also preview its rumored unified platform designed to combine ChromeOS and Android.
Additional announcements related to Gemini AI and other artificial intelligence features are also expected during the show.
