The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has started admissions for HSSC-I (First Year) in Islamabad Model Colleges for the 2026-27 academic session.
According to the admission notice, students who have passed the SSC Part-II examination can apply for admission to Islamabad Model Colleges in both urban and rural areas under the FDE.
The directorate has opened online registration from July 30 to August 5. It will publish the list of shortlisted candidates on August 7, while colleges will complete document scrutiny and interviews by August 14.
The FDE will display the first merit list on August 17, and selected students must submit their admission fee by August 18. The directorate will publish the second merit list on August 19, while classes will begin on August 20.
The FDE said applicants can complete the online admission registration free of charge through the designated colleges. Only residents of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and the sons and daughters of federal government employees residing in Islamabad or Rawalpindi can apply for admission.
The directorate said it will determine applicants’ eligibility under its approved admission policy. Students can find the admission policy, college prospectus, subject combinations, and other details on the FDE’s online admission portal.
