Sparco Plaza in Gulberg Greens, Islamabad, has been declared a sub-jail for people arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency.
According to a notification issued by the Islamabad Chief Commissioner, FIA detainees will now be kept at the facility with immediate effect.
The order says the FIA director general will be responsible for the security of the sub-jail and its prisoners.
It also states that records of the facility will be maintained by an officer of Grade 17 or above.
Sparco Plaza, also known as Sparco Twin Towers, was originally built for mixed-use commercial and residential development in Gulberg Greens.
