Managing Director of the Water and Sanitation Agency, Saqib Raza, has directed officials to complete all priority development schemes by June 30 and ensure the immediate rehabilitation of roads affected by ongoing infrastructure projects.
Chairing a review meeting on development initiatives, the WASA chief emphasized that three major projects being executed under the Chief Minister’s Package must be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
He instructed contractors to accelerate construction activities and directed consultant agencies to maintain strict monitoring to ensure transparency and quality standards.
Saqib Raza also ordered the completion of priority schemes being carried out under the Punjab Development Program by the end of June.
He stressed that road restoration work should begin immediately in areas where pipeline installation has already been completed to minimize inconvenience for residents.
The MD further directed officials to conduct a comprehensive survey of streets impacted by pipeline-laying activities so that rehabilitation work can be undertaken without delay.
Meanwhile, Capt (retd) Nadeem Nasir highlighted the importance of completing sewerage upgradation projects at the earliest. He said the projects being implemented by WASA under the Punjab Development Program are essential to provide relief to citizens ahead of the upcoming monsoon season.
Officials reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the timely completion of development schemes, improved drainage infrastructure, and the restoration of affected roads to facilitate public convenience and strengthen urban services.
