Asus has announced the 2026 TUF Gaming 16, a new 16-inch gaming laptop with updated Intel and Nvidia hardware, quieter cooling, and a cleaner port layout.
The 2026 Asus TUF Gaming 16 can be configured with up to an Intel Core i7 14650HX processor. The chip has eight performance cores, eight efficiency cores, and a maximum boost clock of 5.2GHz.
For graphics, the laptop offers up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with a maximum TGP of 85W. The GPU supports real-time ray tracing and DLSS 4 upscaling with Multi-Frame Generation.
The laptop uses dual 80-blade fans and three heat pipes for cooling. The system keeps fan noise under 40dB under full load in Turbo Mode, while the default Performance Mode runs even quieter.
The cooling setup also sends some airflow across the motherboard to cool surface-mounted components. Asus has also added dust filters to help keep the cooling system working properly over time.
The TUF Gaming 16 has an all-black finish and an anti-fingerprint coating on the keyboard deck. The laptop also has a 180-degree display hinge for more flexible screen positioning.
As with other TUF Gaming laptops, the device has been tested to MIL STD 810H durability standards for common drops, vibrations, and temperature changes.
Asus has moved the larger ports to the back of the chassis. The rear side includes the power input, HDMI, and RJ45 Ethernet port, helping keep cables away from the mouse area.
The laptop also includes three USB Type-A ports and one USB Type-C port with DisplayPort 2.1 and power delivery support.
The 2026 TUF Gaming 16 includes dual RAM slots and dual SSD slots, both of which are user-upgradeable. Factory configurations go up to 64GB of DDR5 memory and 2TB of PCIe 4.0 storage.
Asus has not announced pricing or availability details for the 2026 TUF Gaming 16.
