Apple has officially announced its new Apple Upgrade leasing program, confirming recent reports that it would replace the previous iPhone Upgrade Program.

The new program is powered by Klarna and allows customers in the United States to lease a range of Apple devices, including iPhones, Apple Watches, iPads, and Macs.

Apple said the service is available through the Apple Store online, the Apple Store app, and physical Apple Store locations across the US.

Apple Upgrade offers different lease terms depending on the product category.

For iPhones and Apple Watches, customers can choose between 12-month and 24-month leases. Macs and iPads are available with 24-month and 36-month lease options.

Apple has listed the following starting monthly prices:

According to Apple, customers can apply for Apple Upgrade within minutes and receive a quick approval decision.

The company said all applicants are subject to a soft credit check, which does not affect their credit score.

At the end of the lease period, customers have three options. They can upgrade to the latest generation of the device, purchase the leased device with a one-time payment, or return it.

Apple also allows customers to add an AppleCare protection plan to their leased devices for additional coverage.
