Four Pakistani motorcyclists have made history by reaching the Arctic Circle on motorcycles registered in Pakistan.
They became the first Pakistani riders known to have completed the journey on Pakistan-registered bikes.
Renowned adventure traveler Shiraz Sami led the expedition.
He completed the journey with his 19-year-old son and two other companions.
The four-member team travelled thousands of kilometers and crossed several countries before reaching Nordkapp, also known as North Cape, in Norway.
Nordkapp is widely regarded as the northernmost point in Europe that travelers can reach by road.
Shiraz Sami shared details of the achievement on social media.
He said the team crossed deserts, high mountains, international borders and some of the world’s most challenging roads during the expedition.
“To the best of our knowledge, we are the first Pakistani riders to reach the Arctic Circle on Pakistan-registered motorcycles,” he said.
He described the expedition as more than an ordinary road trip. He said it represented courage, determination and perseverance.
Sami said the expedition was not only about reaching a destination.
Instead, it demonstrated how courage, determination and faith can take people far beyond their expectations.
He added that every challenge became part of the team’s story. Each kilometre also strengthened their belief that the impossible is often only a word.
Sami called the achievement a proud moment for Pakistan.
He said the team carried Pakistan’s flag to one of the northernmost road-accessible locations in the world.
