Twelve Lahore police officials, including the Station House Officer (SHO) of Sarwar Road Police Station, have been suspended and charged after allegedly carrying out an unlawful raid on a house based on incorrect information. According to police officials, SHO Muhammad Irfan and 11 other officers conducted the raid, but an internal inquiry later found that the operation was based on false information. Authorities also alleged that a fabricated First Information Report (FIR) was registered following the raid.

A fresh case has now been registered against the suspended officers on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Mushtaq. They have been accused of abusing their authority and misusing official powers during the operation.

Police said SHO Irfan, the investigating officer, and the remaining personnel have also been charge-sheeted under relevant provisions of the Police Order, 2002. The case has been handed over to the Investigation Wing for further inquiry.

Officials added that further legal action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.

Meanwhile, claims circulating on social media alleged that the raided property belonged to the brother of a senior government official and was mistakenly targeted after being suspected of operating as a brothel. However, police have not officially confirmed either the identity of the homeowner or the authenticity of those claims.
