A viral video has raised hygiene concerns after showing a rat roaming inside a Nando’s restaurant in Faisalabad.
The footage was shared by local social media page Hello Faisalabad, which identified the location as the Nando’s Kohinoor branch in Faisalabad.
The video shows a rat moving across the tiled floor and underneath chairs and tables inside the restaurant.
Customers appear to be present in the dining area while the rat moves around the seating section.
The footage quickly drew attention on social media, with users questioning hygiene and pest-control measures at the outlet.
The branch is located in the Kohinoor City area of Faisalabad.
Restaurants are required to maintain strict cleanliness standards, particularly in areas where food is prepared, served and consumed. The presence of rodents can raise serious concerns because they can contaminate food and surfaces.
However, the available footage only clearly shows one rat. Claims about multiple rats cannot be independently confirmed from the video reviewed.
