The United Kingdom has praised Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace and stability in the region, acknowledging Islamabad’s diplomatic role in advancing regional dialogue.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, during which the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and regional developments.
During the call, Cooper commended Pakistan’s efforts to maintain regional peace and stability and described Islamabad’s contribution to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding as valuable. She also acknowledged Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts related to the understanding between the United States and Iran.
Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy, emphasizing the country’s continued support for peaceful engagement.
Both sides agreed to remain in close contact and reaffirmed their commitment to working together in support of regional peace and stability.
