The Sindh Livestock and Fisheries Department has issued an emergency alert for fishermen, advising them to avoid the deep sea on August 1 and 2 due to expected bad weather and rough sea conditions.

According to a department spokesperson, the warning was issued after the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) alerted authorities about stormy conditions at sea.

Fishermen have been instructed to remain cautious, while those already at sea have been advised to return immediately with their boats. Vessels in coastal areas have also been directed to move to safer locations.

The Fisheries Department has been ordered to take all necessary steps to protect the lives and property of fishermen.

The department warned that strict action would be taken against anyone violating the government’s instructions. Fishermen have also been advised to contact the relevant authorities immediately in case of an emergency.

The restriction on deep-sea fishing will remain in place until further orders.
