A young shopkeeper was shot dead in Gujranwala after a dispute over payment for minced meat (qeema), police said on Saturday.
The incident took place in the Gulshan Rehman area of Gujranwala. According to police, a customer visited the shop to get qeema prepared but left without paying the required amount.
Police said the shopkeeper later went to the customer’s house to lodge a complaint, which reportedly angered the suspect. In a fit of rage, the accused opened fire, killing the young shopkeeper on the spot.
Authorities confirmed that police arrested the suspect shortly after the incident. Further investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances leading to the fatal shooting.
