Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has set a target to make Punjab an artificial intelligence-enabled province by 2029.

During a meeting with Provincial Adviser Ali Mustafa Dar, consultations were held on the formal launch of Punjab AI Vision 2029.

Ali Mustafa Dar briefed the chief minister on the performance of the AI Office over the past two months. He also informed her about the province’s first artificial intelligence-enabled delivery unit.

The adviser further briefed the chief minister on the team formed to implement Punjab’s AI agenda and the onboarding programme prepared with the help of experts.

The meeting reviewed progress on the vision to transform Punjab into an AI-enabled province and discussed the future course of action.

Maryam Nawaz also received a detailed briefing on the six core pillars of AI Vision 2029.

The meeting expressed the resolve to further improve government services, governance and public facilitation through the effective use of modern technology and artificial intelligence in Punjab.
