The Punjab government has launched eight-week summer learning camps in 12 districts under the Taleem Program to continue academic activities during summer vacations and strengthen students’ foundational learning skills. According to the School Education Department, the camps will begin on June 2 and continue until Aug. 7, 2026. A total of 6,060 learning camps will be established in 3,030 selected schools across Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Chiniot, DG Khan, Layyah, Lodhran, Mianwali, Muzaffargarh, Pakpattan, Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur.

According to the School Education Department, the camps will begin on June 2 and continue until Aug. 7, 2026. A total of 6,060 learning camps will be established in 3,030 selected schools across Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Chiniot, DG Khan, Layyah, Lodhran, Mianwali, Muzaffargarh, Pakpattan, Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur.

Officials said the camps will operate five days a week from 7am to 9:30am as part of efforts to improve foundational literacy and numeracy skills among students.

The department directed chief executive officers and district education authorities in the concerned districts to ensure effective implementation of the program and complete all operational arrangements before the launch.

According to sources, teachers participating in the summer camps will receive an additional Rs. 40,000 per month along with their regular salaries during the eight-week program. The School Education Department also emphasized community mobilization to maximize student participation and improve the overall impact of the initiative.
