Karachi is set to witness the construction of Pakistan’s tallest skyscraper after DHA City Karachi and ABS Developers finalized an agreement for the development of Burj Quaid, an 82-storey high-rise project planned within DHA City.

The tower is expected to rise 941 feet into the skyline, making it the tallest building in the country once completed. The project will span nearly six acres and is expected to be completed within six years.

Officials believe the mega development could strengthen commercial activity, attract investment, and accelerate modern urban infrastructure growth in Karachi.

The announcement comes amid increasing interest in high-rise developments across Pakistan, particularly in Karachi and Islamabad.

Earlier, the Pakistan Airport Authority (PAA) revealed plans to construct what could become Islamabad’s tallest building in Blue Area. The authority plans to develop a multi-storey aviation and commercial complex on its 9,000 square yard plot.

According to documents submitted to the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (PEPA), the proposed Aviation Complex will include airline headquarters, PAA offices, conference facilities, banks, food courts, hotel accommodations, an aviation museum, fitness and recreational facilities, and an art gallery.

Islamabad currently hosts several major high-rise projects, including the under-construction Garden Residential Apartment Project in F-10 Markaz, which is expected to stand 470 feet tall with 42 storeys. Other prominent towers in the capital include The Centaurus and One Constitution Avenue.
