Islamabad International Airport has introduced a new digital facility aimed at improving passenger convenience and modernizing airport services.
The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) announced that the airport has launched a fully digital Lost and Found system developed by its in house IT team.
Under the new system, passengers can report and track lost items online through a digital platform designed to improve transparency, speed up processing, and simplify recovery procedures.
According to the PAA, the facility will allow travelers to monitor the status of their lost belongings digitally instead of relying on traditional manual processes.
The latest initiative comes as Islamabad International Airport continues expanding digital services and technology based operations. Earlier this year, Islamabad International Airport became Pakistan’s first fully cashless airport as part of broader digital transformation efforts.
Under that system, all payments at the airport, including airline ticketing, car parking, food outlets, retail shops, and duty free stores, shifted to digital platforms.
Passengers can make payments through digital wallets, QR codes, mobile banking applications, and debit or credit cards. Airport authorities previously said the move was aimed at improving transparency, operational efficiency, and convenience for passengers.
