The Pakistan-Poland Friendship Cycle Expedition 2026 began at Faisal Mosque in Islamabad on July 26. Strzelczyk travelled through Abbottabad, Besham, Chilas, Gilgit, Hunza, Gulmit, Passu and Sost before reaching Khunjerab Pass.

The route took the cyclist through the Karakoram’s dramatic mountain landscapes, valleys and communities, offering a close look at Pakistan’s cultural diversity and local hospitality.

Khunjerab Pass, located on the Pakistan-China border, is one of the world’s highest international border crossings.
