Canadian police have arrested several Indian nationals, including a truck driver, after seizing 1.7 tonnes of narcotics with an estimated street value of $139 million during a major anti-drug operation.
According to reports, the crackdown was carried out under an operation known as Project B, targeting an alleged drug trafficking network operating in Canada.
Authorities said multiple suspects of Indian origin were taken into custody as part of the operation. The investigation is focused on dismantling the network responsible for transporting and distributing large quantities of illegal drugs.
