Pakistan’s iconic children’s fantasy show Ainak Wala Jin has made a big-screen comeback with a new animated movie.

‘Ainak Wala Jin’ The Animated Movie was released in Pakistani cinemas on Friday, July 24, 2026. The Urdu-language movie is being screened at major cinema chains, including Nueplex, Cinepax and Centaurus Cineplex.

The animated film has a runtime of around 85 minutes and brings the magical world of the original television show to a new generation of viewers.

The story follows a young boy growing up in a strict environment where his life is controlled by rules and responsibilities. His mysterious elderly neighbour, who is actually a jin, opens the door to a magical world known as Kokaf.

The movie has been promoted with the taglines “The Magic Returns” and “A New Journey, The Same Magic,” highlighting its mix of nostalgia and a fresh animated adventure.

The original Ainak Wala Jin was first televised by PTV Lahore in February 1993 and became one of Pakistan’s most popular children’s programs. Families and children regularly watched the show for its memorable characters, humour and magical stories.

The classic series combined real-life situations with fantasy and science fiction, helping it build a strong following among Pakistani audiences during the 1990s. The animated movie is now available through participating cinemas across Pakistan.
