The Health and Population Department has issued an alert over three drug batches declared harmful to health, warning patients being treated for allergies, anemia, and infections to remain cautious.

According to a report, certain batches of Sufiferazone sodium, mecobalamin, and dexamethasone have been flagged and should be removed from the market immediately.

The health alert said Sufiferazone sodium is used as an antibiotic for infections, while mecobalamin is commonly used in the treatment of anemia and for improving nerve health and energy levels. Dexamethasone, meanwhile, is widely prescribed for allergy-related conditions.

Authorities have directed that the affected batches of all three medicines be withdrawn from sale without delay to prevent any risk to patients.

The warning is particularly important for people currently using these medicines, as the department has declared the identified batches unsafe for public use.
