The Ministry of Interior has launched a unified police character certificate system across Pakistan to simplify the verification process for overseas travelers and job seekers.

According to an official statement, records from all four provinces, as well as Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, have been integrated into a single centralized platform.

Under the new system, citizens will no longer need to obtain separate police character certificates from different provinces. Instead, certificates will now be issued through the National Police Bureau.

Officials said a nationwide citizens’ database has been established at the National Police Bureau, enabling authorities to process and issue character certificates through one unified system.

The ministry added that the police verification process has been digitized and accelerated through integration with a central online platform, allowing citizens to apply for and receive certificates from their homes.

Authorities said the initiative will help reduce difficulties faced by Pakistanis travelling abroad and individuals applying for employment opportunities.
