The Petroleum Division will soon issue a notification to confirm these rates.

Implementation of the new prices will be carried out effective immediately on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

This cut comes just a week after the government sanctioned an increase of Rs. 15 per litre in the price of diesel and Rs. 14.92 per litre for petrol on May 9.
