The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on Tuesday approved Rs. 160 million for the repair and maintenance of the Prime Minister’s Office.

In addition, the committee approved Rs. 1 billion for operationalization of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA), aimed at strengthening food safety and agricultural regulatory systems.

Beyond relief measures, the ECC also cleared development spending, including Rs. 3.915 billion for the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Program through NAVTTC, and Rs. 1.5 billion for the National Health Program (formerly Sehat Sahulat Programme) to expand healthcare coverage.

In a separate but related development in the education sector, ECC was informed that school decoration and classroom beautification drives are gaining momentum across Pakistan, with students and teachers actively participating in creating more engaging and visually improved learning environments through charts, displays, and creative artwork.
