Google is lowering the price of its AI Plus subscription as it moves to make Gemini features available at a lower monthly cost.
The Google AI Plus plan will now cost $5 per month, down from its earlier $8 per month price, according to a post from Vikas Kansal, Google’s product lead for Gemini AI subscriptions.
The plan also now includes 400GB of storage, double the 200GB previously offered.
The change has not affected Pakistan as of yet, but it will most likely happen soon, given Google’s track record.

Google launched AI Plus in January as a cheaper way to access Gemini 3 Pro, Nano Banana Pro, and Deep Research.
Those features were previously part of Google’s more expensive AI Pro plan. AI Plus brought them to a lower price tier, but with stricter usage limits.
According to Google’s January announcement, AI Plus also included access to Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro in the Gemini app, AI filmmaking tools in Flow, research and writing support in NotebookLM, 200GB of storage, and family sharing with up to five other people.
Google is also adding more features to the cheaper plan after Google I/O 2026.
The AI Plus plan now includes AI-powered email tools, a Daily Brief agent in the Gemini app, and access to Gemini Omni, Google’s newer AI model for generating video from different input types.
9to5Google reported that the plan also includes higher Gemini usage limits than the free tier, a 128,000-token context window, Daily Brief, Omni Flash video generation, scheduled actions, expanded NotebookLM limits, Proofread and AI Inbox in Gmail, and more access in Google Flow, AI Studio, and Antigravity.
Existing AI Plus subscribers will also receive the storage upgrade.
Kansal said current subscribers should see the extra storage space appear in the next few days. The lower subscription price should appear on their next bill.
9to5Google also reported that the storage increase is rolling out over the next few days, while the price decrease will take effect with the next plan renewal.
The price cut makes AI Plus Google’s lowest-paid AI subscription.
It sits below Google’s higher AI tiers while still giving users access to selected Gemini tools, cloud storage, and AI features across Google products.
The change also comes after Google I/O 2026, where the company announced updates across its AI plans and products.
