Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a sharp increase on Saturday after 4th increase in international prices.

Since August 5, the per tola price of gold has increased by Rs. 28,600.

The per tola rate increased by Rs. 2,200 to reach Rs. 456,536, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 10-gram gold also increased by Rs. 1,887, reaching Rs. 391,406.

On Friday, gold rose by Rs. 5,100 to Rs. 454,336 per tola.

In the international market, gold prices gained $22 to $4,341 per ounce.

Silver prices retreated to remain below Rs. 7,000 to end the week. It lost Rs. 113 to reach Rs. 6,826 per tola on Saturday.
