FIFA has released another official song for the 2026 World Cup, this time featuring Palestinian Chilean singer Elyanna alongside Canadian artist Jessie Reyez.
Titled “Illuminate,” the track arrives as part of FIFA’s growing musical rollout for the tournament and has been received far more warmly online than some of the earlier releases.
Many fans have described it as a stronger fit for the World Cup, with some even saying it has the kind of global feel that could make it the tournament’s breakout anthem.
The song blends alternative R&B with Arabic melodies and global pop influences, while focusing on themes such as identity, unity, and resilience. Produced by Grammy-winning producer Cirkut, Illuminate brings together Reyez’s soulful vocals and Elyanna’s signature Arabic sound with Latin influences.
The official music video for “Illuminate” starring Elyanna with Jessie Reyez is now available on YouTube.
Elyanna’s inclusion is particularly notable, as it places her among the few Arab artists to feature prominently on an official FIFA World Cup soundtrack.
FIFA has framed the song as a celebration of music’s power to connect cultures through sport, and fan reaction so far suggests the new release has landed better than the previously criticized anthem “Lighter”.
Elyanna has already hinted at her involvement in the tournament beyond the soundtrack. In a recent social media post, she said she would be performing at the World Cup opening ceremony in Toronto on June 12 while also voicing support for the wider MENA region.
The 2026 World Cup will feature three separate opening ceremonies across the host nations, beginning in Mexico City on June 11, followed by Toronto and Los Angeles on June 12.
Elyanna has built a reputation as one of the most prominent young Arab artists on the international stage. She first drew global attention after delivering a full set in Arabic at Coachella in 2023 and has since gone on to perform in Arabic on major international television and collaborate with global music acts.
Illuminate is one of several official songs released ahead of the expanded 2026 World Cup, which will be staged across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. But unlike some of the earlier tracks, this one appears to have struck a stronger chord with listeners.
