Indian Punjabi films will now first be cleared by the Central Film Censor Board before moving to the provincial censor boards for approval.
Under the new arrangement, no provincial censor board will directly approve Indian films.
The change means all Indian Punjabi films will have to pass through the central censor process before final clearance at the provincial level.
