BYD has imported demo units of three new plug in hybrid vehicles to Pakistan as the company prepares to expand its local lineup, according to sources familiar with the development.
The imported vehicles are currently in Pakistan for evaluation and demonstration purposes. However, the models could later be introduced in locally assembled form.
According to the available details, the upcoming models include the BYD Sealion 6, Denza B5, and Denza B8.
The Sealion 6 features a 1.5 litre turbocharged plug in hybrid all wheel drive powertrain paired with an 18.3 kWh battery pack. The vehicle produces a combined 319 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, with a claimed NEDC electric range of 70 kilometres.
The Denza B5 comes with a 1.5 litre turbocharged plug in hybrid AWD setup and a 31.8 kWh battery pack. It delivers 536 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque, while offering a claimed electric range of 100 kilometres.
Meanwhile, the Denza B8 features a larger 2.0 litre turbocharged plug in hybrid AWD powertrain with a 36.8 kWh battery pack. The SUV produces 569 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque, with a claimed NEDC electric range of 115 kilometres.
