Officials said three of the bodies recovered on Friday morning have been airlifted to Skardu by helicopter.

Rescue teams are still searching for the remaining missing climbers on the 8,047-metre peak in difficult weather and terrain conditions.

Gilgit-Baltistan Tourism Minister Neknam Karim said authorities are making every possible effort to trace the missing climbers and that the Tourism Department is supporting the rescue operation.

Broad Peak is the world’s 12th-highest mountain and one of Pakistan’s most challenging climbing destinations. Source
