The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and all commercial banks will remain closed on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, on account of Eid Milad Un Nabi, according to a notification issued by the central bank.

The State Bank said all of its offices will remain closed on August 26, which falls on 12th Rabi ul Awwal, 1448 A.H. The holiday will also apply to commercial banks, development finance institutions and microfinance banks.

As a result, these institutions will remain closed for public dealing and banking transactions on Wednesday.

The State Bank issued the notification on August 24, informing presidents and chief executives of all banks, DFIs and MFBs about the public holiday.
