Asus has announced the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace, a 24.5-inch gaming monitor built for competitive esports players. The monitor uses a native 1080p OLED panel with a 540Hz refresh rate, giving players a tournament-standard screen size without relying on software cropping or downscaling.
The 24.5-inch size targets players of competitive games such as Counter Strike 2 and Valorant, where many professionals prefer a smaller screen that stays within their peripheral vision.
Most high refresh rate OLED monitors have launched in larger 27-inch or 32-inch sizes. The ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace fills that gap with a native 24.5-inch OLED panel aimed at users moving from older TN esports monitors.
The monitor uses a Tandem WOLED panel with two organic light-emitting diode layers. The design improves brightness by 15% and extends panel lifespan by up to 60% compared with conventional WOLED panels.
The display also uses a TrueBlack glossy coating, which is designed to improve image clarity and text sharpness compared with traditional matte anti-glare finishes.
The ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace pairs its 540Hz refresh rate with a 0.02ms response time. It also includes full Nvidia G-Sync support to reduce tearing, stutter, and input lag during fast-paced gameplay.
The panel covers 99.5% of the DCI P3 color gamut, supports true 10-bit color, and is factory calibrated with a Delta E of less than 2. It also carries VESA DisplayHDR 600 True Black certification.
Asus developed the monitor with feedback from tournament organizers PGL and BLAST. The stand and base include precision measurement markings so players can record and repeat their preferred height, tilt, and swivel positions at LAN events.
The monitor also includes a Quick OSD menu for faster access to key settings such as brightness, shadow boost, and saturation. Asus has added three FPS Esports color modes for players switching from TN panels to OLED.
Asus has not announced pricing or an exact release date for the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace yet.
The monitor was introduced as part of Asus and ROG’s Computex 2026 display lineup, which also includes new OLED gaming monitors, ProArt creator displays, ZenScreen portable monitors, and video conferencing monitors.
