Pakistani Tekken star Arslan Ash has qualified for the Esports World Cup 2026 after finishing third at Road to EWC: DreamHack Atlanta.
The Tekken 8 qualifier took place during DreamHack Atlanta from May 15 to 17 and offered three qualification spots for the Esports World Cup 2026. Arslan Ash earned one of those spots alongside Mulgold and Keisuke.
With the result, Arslan Ash becomes the sixth Pakistani player to qualify for the Esports World Cup 2026, which is scheduled to take place in Riyadh from July 6 to August 23, 2026.
Arslan Ash remains one of Pakistan’s most successful esports players and a leading figure in competitive Tekken. His latest qualification further strengthens Pakistan’s growing reputation in the global fighting game scene.
Originally from Lahore, Arslan Ash began playing Tekken at the age of eight in local gaming arcades. Over the years, he has developed into one of the most accomplished players in the history of the franchise.
Earlier in August, Arslan added another major achievement to his career by winning his sixth Evolution Championship Series (EVO) title at EVO 2025 in Las Vegas. Representing Twisted Minds, he defeated fellow Pakistani player Atif Butt in the Tekken 8 Grand Final.
Arslan first gained international recognition in 2019 after winning the Tekken 7 title in Japan. He later secured multiple EVO victories in the United States, finished third at EVO 2022, won EVO Japan in April 2023, and claimed his fifth EVO title in July 2024.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest Tekken players of all time, Arslan Ash was named ESPN’s Best Esports Player of 2019. His achievements also include victories at CEO 2021 and Combo Breaker 2022, where he won the Tekken 7 title after defeating all 10 of his opponents.
