The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has confirmed that the draw for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027 Qualifiers will take place in Malaysia on August 27, 2026.
Pakistan is among the 35 teams competing in the qualifying round. The teams will be drawn into seven groups of five, with each group hosted by a different country.
Pakistan has been placed in Pot 4 alongside Mongolia, Singapore, Lebanon, the Philippines, Chinese Taipei, and Bhutan. As teams from the same pot cannot be drawn together, Pakistan will avoid these six sides in the group stage.
The seedings are based on performances in the last three editions of the tournament. The 2026 edition carries full weight, while the 2025 and 2023 editions carry 50 percent and 25 percent weight, respectively.
Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, and Kyrgyzstan will host the seven qualifying groups.
The qualifiers will be played from November 8 to 20, 2026. Only the winner of each group will qualify for the final tournament, leaving seven places available through the qualifying stage.
The AFC U17 Asian Cup 2027 will be held in Uzbekistan from May 12 to 29, 2027. Nine teams have already secured qualification, including hosts Uzbekistan and the eight best-performing teams from the 2026 edition: Australia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Japan, China, Vietnam, South Korea, and Qatar.
