Lahore Traffic Police has seized a motorcycle after discovering 112 unpaid e-challans worth Rs. 207800 during a routine traffic check on Wahdat Road.
According to Punjab Traffic Police, officers stopped the motorcycle for a traffic violation and checked its record, which revealed a long history of unpaid fines.
Police said the motorcycle owner committed 55 violations for riding without a helmet, 20 red light violations, 28 lane discipline violations, and eight speeding violations, resulting in outstanding fines totaling Rs. 207800.
Lahore Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi said the department will continue its crackdown on vehicles with unpaid e-challans. He urged motorists to follow traffic rules and clear outstanding fines to avoid legal action and heavy penalties.
The CTO also warned that motorists who fail to pay their e-challans will not be able to avail themselves of police services until they settle their dues.
