لاہور: شیخوپورہ کے ڈسٹرکٹ پولیس آفیسر بلال ظفر شیخ نے ڈان کو بتایا کہ غیر قانونی منشیات لے جانے والا ڈرون اِتوار کو شیخوپورہ کی نارنگ منڈی کے رہائشی علاقے میں گر کر تباہ ہو گیا، جس نے پولیس کو تحقیقات کا آغاز کیا۔
ان کا کہنا تھا کہ پولیس نے ڈرون اور ممنوعہ اشیاء کو تحویل میں لے لیا، جائے وقوعہ کو گھیرے میں لے کر تفتیش شروع کر دی ہے۔
He said the action was taken after police were alerted that a drone had fallen on the roof of a house in Narang Police Station’s jurisdiction.
According to the initial inquiry, a black drone, approximately three feet long, was found on the house’s roof in Mohalla Rafiqabad, he said.
“A packet wrapped in yellow tape with reflective lights was found inside the drone,” DPO Sheikh said.
He further stated that the packet contained “approximately 5kg of heroin”.
“The police immediately intensified patrolling in the area,” he said.
ایک سوال کے جواب میں ڈی پی او شیخ نے کہا کہ ابھی اس بات کی تصدیق نہیں ہو سکی کہ ڈرون منشیات کو سرحد پار یا شہر میں کسی جگہ سمگل کرنے کے لیے بھیجا گیا تھا۔
“We are trying to gather information to track down the suspects who operated the drone”, the DPO said.
ذرائع نے دعویٰ کیا کہ منشیات کو پڑوسی ملک میں سمگل کیا جا رہا تھا - ایک ایسا عمل جس کو انہوں نے گزشتہ چند دہائیوں سے لاہور، سیالکوٹ اور قصور میں پھلنے پھولنے والے بدنام زمانہ کاروبار کا حصہ قرار دیا۔
Payments against these smuggled drugs were being settled in Dubai, as per the previous reports finalised by the law enforcement agencies.
